Marvin

Marvin is no more. He’s gone to the great kennel in the sky.

It got to the stage with the dodgy legs, lungs, eyes, etc, etc, that we had little choice but to have him put down. Vets Jon & B came to the house to sort him out last night – thanks guys, it was really peaceful.

Let’s not forget though, he was a complete fool of a dog. He ended up on a neighbour’s roof when chasing a cat, and in a ravine in Tresaith the first pitch-black night at our caravan. A dog with no learning curve whatsoever, he was content to bark at shadows, and the bigger the other dog, the more likely Marv was to fight it.

All the cats, dogs, birds and clouds of Pontypridd can rest more easily now; Marv won’t be chasing them any more.

I’m really sorry to hear about this fella. I know first-hand how much a pet can mean and how big a part they can play in your day to day lives without you even realising it.

My wife and I love our little dog (Toby) to bits. We haven't got any children, so needless to say, our little dog is treated really well and spoiled rotten. I'm dreading the day we have to part company with Toby. No matter how well you try and prepare yourself and whether you are ready or not, if you are a dog lover it hits you for six.

Please accept our condolences mate, and if anyone says to you "it's just a dog", please smash them in the face with a Renault Scenic.

Graham & Annette.
