TV Notes

Following the demise of Setanta, ESPN America has continued to be available on the Sky platform. Its now part of the ESPN package, newly established to provide the soccer coverage that it bought when Setanta went to the wall.

The coverage is still the same, lots of baseball and college football due soon, supported by ESPN’s American magazine programmes and a bunch of obscure stuff like Major League Lacrosse. ESPN will have almost wall-to-wall soccer, but will carry French league rugby.

No NFL coverage on the horizon either, with word being that Sky Sports has all the NFL rights in the UK. So that probably means no NFL on five either.

On the bright side, the ESPN package only costs and extra £9 a month, when before I was paying £15 for NASN.
